Good morning, friends and happy Wednesday! It's been a little while since I've posted to my actual blog page, as Instagram seems to be taking up most of the free time I actually do have. But, hey, here I am! I have some really great things to share with y'all and I like being able to do that through an actual blog post. Recently, I've been working with a brand called Anjou Naturals, sold exclusively on Amazon. I've been using their products religiously for I'd say almost two months now, so I think it's fair to say my review at this point will be in full swing, (of course, very honest) and at it's greatest potential, as I have gotten to know this brand pretty well.
So...first I want to talk about these makeup brushes that have truly changed my life as a professional makeup artist. When I first got them, I wanted to immediately test them out on myself, before putting them to use on any clients of mine, so that's exactly what I did. I used them on my own face for about a week, and traditionally applied my makeup using the powder and brush method and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. After quickly realizing that these brushes are professional worthy, I started using them on my clients. Particularly, my bridal party girls, when getting them ready for weddings. The brushes apply the makeup exactly where you want it to go, there's not much fall out, as the brush holds onto the makeup product pretty well and delivers great to the skin. I think it's so gosh darn important to use good brushes when you want good results. It's crucial, actually. I've obviously washed them after every application and the bristles don't fall out, don't shed and they dry perfectly. Win, win, win. If you're looking for a new set, this brand definitely won't let you down. They are the only brushes I use now. Oh and, they're just under 22 bucks.
I've also been loving this Anjou Natural's curling iron. The one I have is a 1.5 inch which is exactly what I needed to add to my collection of styling tools. I have tons of irons, several different sizes but needed a bigger one to create more of a loose beach wave. So, let me tell ya a little hairdressing secret...YO IRON AIN'T GUN DO SH*T IF IT DON'T GET HOT.
...With that being said, it's very important that you get one that reaches a certain temp or else you're just wasting your time. Whoops! And dat's da truuf! This one that I have reaches 410 degrees, which is PERFECT. It holds my curls (more like waves) all day long and it's become an every day tool for me as well. If this size is too large for your hair type, and your hair isn't long enough to wrap around the bigger iron and create said beach wave, you can go with one of their smaller sizes! This beauty goes for less than $30! WUT?!? Yas, gurl. Yas.
