I know I've shared this story with y'all once before but I'm going to have to go ahead and share it again. I'll shorten it a bit, and give the edited version. I just can't help myself...
The train track setting has always been my favorite. When I was a little girl, my Great-Grandmom used to live in a small yellow house about a block from the train station. Every Tuesday, my little sister and I would go visit Gram and spend the entire day with her at that sweet yellow house. Gram knew the train's schedule by heart, (it passed by every single day) it was actually the New Jersey transit line, so it passed by several times a day and it was always full of passengers! Grandmom would walk my sister and I down to the train station every Tuesday. Rain, or shine. And we would sit, and watch the train stop and go. We would watch people get on and off. The conductor would recognize us, as we were there so often. He would smile and wave, every time. My sister, Emily and I would stand behind the yellow line, with our necks stretched out as far as they could go over the edge to see if we could spot the big, bright, white light in the distance which meant, the train was coming! Emily and I had never been on a train before. And Grandmom always told us one day we would take a ride. We never got to do that together. Gram passed away before we got the chance. It wasn't until I was an adult that I took my first train ride. And when I sat down and handed the conductor my ticket, I couldn't help but think my Gram was riding with me. So, if I'm ever given the chance to incorporate the train in some way, here on my blog, I am over the moon. I hope my Gram knows how dear I hold her and these memories. She was so wonderful. My heart is full of love and warm fuzzies when I think of her.
In this post, I'm wearing this adorable navy star cardigan that I just can't get enough of! ChicWish really came through and delivered with this beauty! It runs true to size! I'm wearing a medium.
